**Role Overview**
The Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software applications that support core business functions. This role bridges business requirements with technology solutions by leveraging strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
The ideal candidate will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, delivering secure, high-quality solutions using modern development methodologies and cloud-based technologies.
**Key Responsibilities**
Software Development
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software applications using Agile development methodologies
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that meets business and technical requirements
Develop and support backend APIs and services
Participate in system architecture, design discussions, and technical solution planning
Support senior developers and technical leads during project execution
**Collaboration & Documentation**
Partner with cross-functional teams to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions
Contribute to technical documentation, including design specifications and user guides
Participate in peer code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
**Testing & Deployment**
Perform comprehensive unit testing and debugging of developed and enhanced applications
Support deployment activities and ensure smooth release transitions
Apply secure coding standards throughout the development lifecycle
Continuously improve application performance, scalability, and reliability
**Production Support**
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues in development and production environments
Analyze performance concerns and implement optimization solutions
Provide follow-up documentation for identified issues and resolutions
**Professional Scope**
Work on moderately complex problems requiring analysis of multiple factors
Exercise sound judgment within established guidelines and development standards
Work independently on routine tasks while collaborating with leadership on complex assignments
**Required Qualifications**
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of experience with cloud automation and scripting tools such as Git, Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Hands-on experience in backend API development using Node.js, Java, or Python
Strong proficiency in at least one primary programming language
Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and best practices
Knowledge of software design principles, patterns, and development methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
DevOps experience and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics or Dynatrace
Experience working in Agile environments
