Software Test Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Software Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Kotlin, Swift, Python, and CI/CD automation for Android and iOS applications. The successful candidate will contribute to AI Edge Gallery, an open-source initiative showcasing on-device machine learning (ODML) capabilities, including LiteRT (TFLite), MediaPipe, and emerging Generative AI technologies.

The role also involves establishing continuous validation for the Developer Device Platform (DDP) third-party (3P) interface across ARM virtual device farms and physical device fleets. You will develop scalable test automation infrastructure, integrate automated testing into GitHub Actions pipelines, and improve the reliability of mobile applications and open-source machine learning tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated Android UI tests using Kotlin and relevant instrumentation testing frameworks.

• Build and maintain iOS automated test suites using Swift and XCTest on physical iOS devices.

• Develop Python-based test automation scripts, utilities, and infrastructure.

• Integrate automated tests into GitHub Actions workflows and CI/CD pipelines using the DDP 3P API and CLI.

• Monitor continuous 3P GitHub CI/CD executions and Robo AI crawl runs across ARM virtual farms and physical device fleets.

• Investigate test failures, application crashes, and flaky tests; reproduce issues and identify whether they originate from the platform or application regressions.

• Design, develop, and scale test infrastructure for open-source projects and on-device machine learning tools.

• Lead QA planning, test strategy development, test harness implementation, and validation for production applications and developer tools.

• Improve test coverage and reliability for AI Edge Gallery, Developer Device Platform (DDP), LiteRT, MediaPipe, and related open-source projects.

• Collaborate with software engineers and cross-functional teams to define automation strategies and integrate quality assurance into development workflows.

• Contribute to open-source tooling and improve developer experience, testing efficiency, and CI/CD reliability.
