job summary:
Celestica manufactures server and network racks for Meta data centers. We are seeking a Fiber Optics Technician who wants to transition into a leadership and training role.
In this position, you will review Meta's technical playbooks and train assembly floor employees on how to properly route, plug, and configure fiber optic cables. Because we are facing tight shipping deadlines, your training will directly help the team increase speed and quality.

responsibilities:
- Teach production workers how to properly connect, route, and secure fiber optic cables into Meta's racks.
- Read and translate Meta's playbooks and technical documentation and instructions into
- Act as the technical subject matter expert to troubleshoot connectivity issues, fix assembly mistakes, and keep production moving.
- Inspect finished racks to ensure all fiber connections meet Meta's specifications before they ship.
qualifications:
Background as a fiber optics tech or data center technician. You must understand fiber types, connectors, and routing best practices.
Comfortable reading technical manuals, guides, or blueprints and applying them to physical builds.
Ability to clearly explain technical procedures to workers who may be new to fiber optics.
Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel) to track training records.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment. Requires manual dexterity for handling fiber components, prolonged standing or sitting, and the ability to occasionally lift heavy equipment.
