Description:
The Restoral Services Governance Analysist will manage one of more governance routines, including scheduling, material development, meeting facilitation, capturing meeting minutes and action items as well as leveraging governance routines to identify and escalate risks. These routines will be initially aligned to the objectives of the Data Backup Testing Oversight MRA
The role involves heavy engagement with application and infrastructure SMEs and risk teams, so strong communication and documentation skills are required
Additional responsibilities will include updating and maintaining scorecards dashboards to ensure the Data Backup Testing and Governance MRA program and restoral commitments are effectively tracked and reported. These scorecards and dashboards will be used to demonstrate progress in remediating risks identified in the MRA as well as ensuring that stakeholders across Global Technology are meeting their commitments and adhering to requirements.
Backup Policy Governance Oversight
Own and execute day-to-day governance activities for the application data backup standard, ensuring consistent interpretation and application across the portfolio.
Maintain a structured process for evaluating application backup configurations against policy requirements (e.g., backup frequency, retention, restore testing, encryption)
Identify systemic policy gaps and partner with platform, infrastructure, and application teams to define actionable remediation paths.
Coordinate routines to support delivery of commitments (e.g., kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates, etc.).
Provide status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks, issues, and schedule.
JIRA Ticket Management (Primary Execution Mechanism)
Create, triage, and manage JIRA tickets to track:
Gap identification
Required remediation actions
Evidence collection
Validation and closure
Ensure tickets contain clear acceptance criteria, owners, due dates, and evidence requirements.
Produce accurate status dashboards and backlog health reporting using JIRA filters, boards, and reporting features.
Drive timely closure through follow-ups, escalation paths, and dependency management.
Knowledge (Architecture and Operations) on all technologies such as:
Hosting and Data Center Services Backup as a Service (BaaS)
Application and Database Services (Database and AD)
Enterprise Data Trans and Teradata ECO (Teradata)
Enterprise Employee Technology / Productivity and Mobility (Exchange)
Mainframe Services (Mainframe)
Application Production Services Engineering (HP Nonstop and iSeries)
Experience with technical recovery and/or technical Business Continuity Planning
Demonstrated experience driving work through JIRA (ticket creation, workflow management, reporting/dashboards).
Strong analytical skills and logical thinking
Attentive to details
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience creating materials appropriate for senior executive level audiences
Ability to collaborate and build partnerships across different teams
Ability to work under pressure and meet competing requirements
Ability to define governance playbooks, control testing procedures, and evidence standards.
Prior experience in risk management and conducting risk assessments
Prior experience working on audit and regulatory issues
