Summary

Project Lead

Introduction:

The Project Lead is responsible for the planning, coordination, requirements gathering, business analysis, specifications development, project planning, project monitoring, and project status reporting for moderate to complex business solutions. This role supports a Technical Project Manager for a data engineering project with an AI adoption program.

Responsibilities:

Manage cross-functional coordination and tracking deliverables
Support platform and data engineering initiatives
Ensure alignment between business, engineering, and AI stakeholders
Translate complex technical concepts for business and executive audiences
Define project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, and success metrics
Manage project budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and financial status reporting
Utilize project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or Smartsheet
Lead cross-functional teams, vendors, and complex project timelines
Work effectively with data engineers, developers, analysts, and business partners
Produce high-quality documentation for project plans, charters, schedules, and lessons learned

Requirements:

10	Required	Experience leading technical projects or programs in data, analytics, and cloud environments
10	Required	Experience leading data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing initiatives
10	Required	Proven ability to manage business intelligence, big data, and analytics projects

10	Required	Working knowledge of SQL and database technologies
10	Required	Strong communication skills and proven leadership abilities
10	Required	Experience defining project scope, objectives, milestones, and success metrics
10	Required	Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or Smartsheet
10	Required	Working knowledge of cloud platforms and enterprise applications
10	Required	Proactive leadership style with strong attention to detail
8	Preferred	Familiarity with healthcare or other regulated environments
8	Preferred	Project management certification such as PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, or SAFe
8	Preferred	Healthcare industry experience
8	Preferred	Understanding of information management principles and IT processes
8	Preferred	Strong consulting and facilitation skills
8	Preferred	Customer-focused communication skills
8	Preferred	Proactive leadership style with strong attention to detail
3	Preferred	Experience supporting AI, advanced analytics, or digital transformation initiatives
3	Preferred	Certifications such as TOGAF, Cloud Solution Architecture, or Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform

Terms of Service:

Services are expected to start on 04/27/2026 and complete by 08/31/2026. Total estimated hours per candidate shall not exceed 900 hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended with written agreement.

Work Hours and Location:

Services shall be provided during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays. The primary work location will be at 701 W 51st St, Austin, Texas 78751, with a hybrid on-site and telework setup.
