PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in the production of mineral wool insulation products. This role focuses on continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and implementing best practices to meet operational goals and customer requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Optimization:
- Analyze and improve production processes to maximize throughput, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Develop and implement process control strategies for mineral wool manufacturing operations.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all processes comply with Owens Corning safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive initiatives to reduce environmental impact and maintain sustainability goals.
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead TPM projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for improvement.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical expertise to operations teams for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Support maintenance and reliability teams with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Project Management:
- Manage capital and process improvement projects from concept through implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years in process engineering or manufacturing environment (preferably in mineral wool or similar industry).
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and process control systems.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and process modeling.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Attributes
- Knowledge of mineral wool production processes and thermal insulation products.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change in a fast-paced environment.
