Genesis10 is currently seeking a SAFe Product Owner - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position. This role joins a dynamic team in the security or banking domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agile methodologies and a deep understanding of financial services or security systems, and will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the team backlog to maintain the integrity of features and components.
Responsibilities: - Define and prioritize the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities, maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team
- Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business priorities
- Lead the planning of product release plans / PI planning, Sprint Planning and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
- Provide an active role in mitigating dependencies of team which help successful completion of Release/Sprint Goals
- Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
- Be accountable for adhering to enterprise standards for documentation in our software delivery tools (Jira, Confluence, etc)
- Run daily scrum calls, planning meetings, backlog grooming
- Generate reports using JIRA
Requirements: - Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in the security or banking domain
- Must have prior DEV or QA back ground
- Ability to drive a Technology driven project
- Experience in communicating and coordinating between Developers, Architects, Business partners effectively
- Experience in understanding new requirements and size the efforts
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box
- Demonstrated ability in writing user stories and managing backlogs
- Strong understanding of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), with SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification strongly preferred
- Experience with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
- Technical proficiency in using JIRA or other agile project management tools
Desired skills: - Experience in a SAFe Agile environment
- Knowledge of regulatory standards affecting the banking or security sectors, such as GDPR, MRA
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) environments
- Experience with Jira-Atlassian software delivery web application
