We are seeking a Senior Data & Cloud Engineer responsible for building and optimizing AWS-based data pipelines, SQL-driven analytics, and scalable integrations to support Life Sciences data workflows in collaboration with cross functional global teams
Roles and Responsibilities
Cloud & Data Engineering Design, develop, and maintain AWS-based data engineering pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, and validation workflows.
Build and optimize data models, DBD components, and SQL-based processing for Life Sciences datasets. Support secure and scalable integration with other companies tools, APIs, and data-sharing frameworks.
Design robust data validation structures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and auditability across all data flows.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Interaction Work directly with onsite team members (Mexico/US) for real-time clarification and delivery coordination.
Participate in requirement-gathering sessions and ensure solution alignment with Life Sciences workflows. Quality, Optimization & Delivery Contribute to API design, ETL optimization, and scalable architecture patterns.
Assist in documenting workflows, data lineage, dev standards, and deployment procedures. Troubleshoot production issues and implement preventative improvementsEducational Qualifications: -
Engineering Degree BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.
Skills: -
Mandatory skills
Experience Level 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering or data engineering roles.
AWS Services: Lambda, EC2, S3, Glue, RDS, Redshift, Step Functions (or equivalent combinations).
DBD (Database Design / Data Build Development): Strong data modelling & relational design skills.
SQL Expertise: Advanced querying, performance tuning, and data validation. Experience building cloud-native ETL pipelines or distributed data systems.
Understanding of healthcare data (preferred but not mandatory).
