DescriptionAs an Engineering & Innovation Intern, you will be assigned to work with the Department of Engineering & Innovation (DoE&I) on a variety of initiatives that support firmwide innovation, engineering process improvements, and digital tools. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys data, systems, and people-you'll work at the intersection of engineering, process design, and change management, helping us turn great ideas into implemented solutions across the firm.
You will:
- Assist with day-to-day management of the company's Innovation Hub (idea management system).
- Assist with day-to-day management of the company's External Professional Events request system.
- Support data analysis and reporting using Excel and Power BI.
- Help review and update existing processes and procedures.
- Explore opportunities to apply AI and advanced analytics (e.g., using large language models or automation tools) to streamline repetitive tasks, summarize feedback, and surface insights from data.
QualificationsWe do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.Essential skills and experience:- Must be actively enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a closely related STEM field.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, especially Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to organize information from multiple sources and present it clearly in written documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort interacting with engineers, managers, and corporate functions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, follow through on details, and seek clarification when requirements are unclear.
Valued but not required skills and experience:- Exposure to Power BI or other data visualization tools (coursework or project experience).
- Familiarity with basic process mapping or requirements documentation (e.g., flowcharts, use cases, user stories).
- Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community

Compensation Range$17.50 - $27.00
