React UI Engineer - Azure / Data Engineering

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Chicago, IL that is seeking a React UI Engineer - Azure/Data Engineering.

Summary:
The ideal candidate will bring strong React JS expertise, hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies, and enough data engineering/ETL knowledge to effectively partner with backend and platform teams. This is a great opportunity for someone who can bridge front-end development, cloud infrastructure concepts, and data-centric application design.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and enhance modern, responsive UI components for the Dataflow internal product using React JS
* Collaborate with product, platform, and engineering teams to translate business and technical requirements into intuitive front-end solutions
* Integrate UI components with backend services and data workflows supporting enterprise data movement and processing
* Work within an Azure-based environment, leveraging knowledge of containers, storage, and Kubernetes-based compute
* Partner with data engineering teams to support UI features tied to ETL workflows, data pipelines, and data processing operations
* Contribute to application performance, scalability, and usability improvements
* Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and ongoing enhancement of the platform
* Help ensure front-end solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and development standards

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong hands-on experience building front-end applications with React JS
* Experience working in Azure cloud environments
* Experience with Kubernetes, especially in environments where it is used heavily for compute and application orchestration
* Working knowledge of ETL processes and broader data engineering concepts
* Ability to collaborate effectively with both UI/application engineers and data/platform teams
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced enterprise environment
* Python, Spark experience is nice to have

Solid understanding of Azure concepts, including:
* Azure Storage
* Containers
* Cloud-based application deployment concepts

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Python
* Exposure to Apache Spark
* Additional experience with Kubernetes in application deployment, scaling, or orchestration contexts

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate is a front-end engineer who is comfortable operating in a cloud-native, data-driven environment. They understand not just how to build UI screens, but how those screens interact with data pipelines, compute platforms, and enterprise cloud infrastructure. This person should be able to communicate effectively across front-end, platform, and data engineering teams while contributing to a core internal product at scale.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
