Title: Senior Network Engineer – OT Networks

Location: Hybrid (3 days a week onsite to local office)

The Senior Network Engineer will design, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain corporate and OT networks, ensuring regulatory compliance, security, and operational excellence. The role demands autonomous project execution, strong technical skills, and support for critical infrastructure in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain network infrastructure within data centers, substations, power plants, and office environments.
  • Design, implement, and support wired, wireless, cellular, and OT network solutions.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network operations across both corporate and OT environments.
  • Develop and maintain scripts to automate device configuration, firmware updates, network monitoring, and provisioning workflows.
  • Troubleshoot complex, multi-vendor network issues across routing, switching, DDI, and security layers.
  • Use network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, and Nessus to diagnose and resolve network problems.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and ongoing support of network hardware and software, including enterprise DDI/IPAM platforms such as Infoblox for IP address management and DNS/DHCP services.
  • Independently scope, plan, and execute network projects, including creating runbooks and checklists as needed.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and engineering teams to ensure OT network segmentation, access controls, monitoring, and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Assist with change management processes and documentation to implement network modifications in accordance with NERC CIP regulations, including understanding and protecting critical data classified under BCSI to prevent non-compliance.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of network engineering experience, with proven expertise in both corporate/enterprise and OT network environments.
  • Experience supporting both greenfield and brownfield network projects, from planning through deployment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise routing and switching, including configuration, troubleshooting, and network design principles.
  • Proficient in using network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, and Nessus.
  • Prior experience supporting utility or critical infrastructure networks is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of DDI/IPAM platforms like Infoblox for managing IP addresses and DNS/DHCP services.
  • Good understanding of NERC CIP including BCSI and experience applying them in network design and change management.
  • Ability to prepare documentation and runbooks to support audit readiness and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously in a fast-paced environment supporting critical systems.
  • Capability to create scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible) for network provisioning, workflow automation, and operational support.
  • Experience supporting regulatory audits, compliance activities, and documenting network changes using tools like ServiceNow (CI/CMDB, change management workflows).
  • Comfortable operating in environments with evolving or immature processes, with a focus on building lightweight procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including documentation, change requests, and cross-team coordination.
  • This role may require adherence to hybrid work schedules as per organizational policies.
