Job Title: SAP TM Functional Consultant (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: 1030 Delta Boulevard Atlanta, GA 30354 (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months contract with possible extension/conversion

Job Overview:

Client is seeking experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) Functional Consultants to join a high-impact implementation team. This role is focused on the SAP TM Implementation Project and will transition into long-term functional support following go-live. Candidates must bring direct experience with SAP TM (v9.3 or higher), particularly in configuration and integration with ECC and EWM systems.

Candidates needs to have:

• 5+ years of SAP TM functional experience (version 9.3 or above).
• Hands-on experience with TM configuration including Transportation Network, Freight Unit Building, Charge Management, CIF, Carrier Determination, and Execution.
• Proven involvement in at least one full SAP TM project lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP integration methods: IDOCs, BAPI's, RFC's, user exits.
• Familiarity with ECC modules (MM, PM) and SAP GTS (highly desired).
• Experience working in Agile teams and using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.

Job Description:

• Lead or support the implementation and configuration of SAP Transportation Management (TM), including Freight Management and Order Tendering.
• Participate in full-cycle SAP TM project activities: requirements gathering, functional specs, testing, deployment, documentation, and hypercare.
• Configure TM functionalities such as:
  • Transportation Network, CIF Models, and Error Remediation.
  • Freight Unit Building Rule (FUBR) and Planning Profiles.
  • Freight Order Management, Carrier Selection, Tendering, and Charge Management.
  • Inbound/Outbound processes including FTL, LTL, Air, Ocean, and Rail.
  • Transportation Load Building, Mix Product Packing, and Layer Building.
  • Freight Settlement and Cost Distribution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align TM with ECC, EWM, and GTS systems.
• Analyze and resolve system integration issues using BAPIs, BADI's, IDOCs, RFCs, and middleware.
• Participate in SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) integration planning (future roadmap).
• Engage in Agile ceremonies and follow Agile project methodologies.
• Support knowledge transfer, training, and documentation efforts for internal teams.
