Job Description (JD): Radar Software Engineer

Location- Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking a Radar Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software for radar systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with hardware, signal processing, and systems engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performance radar solutions for defense, automotive, aerospace, or industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software for radar systems and applications.
  • Implement radar signal processing algorithms and data processing pipelines.
  • Integrate software with radar hardware and embedded platforms.
  • Develop, test, debug, and optimize software for performance and reliability.
  • Support system integration, validation, and field testing activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test reports.
  • Troubleshoot software and system issues during development and deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with coding standards and software development best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, or Python.
  • Understanding of radar principles and digital signal processing.
  • Experience with embedded systems or real-time software development.
  • Familiarity with Linux development environments.
  • Knowledge of software version control tools such as Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with radar signal processing techniques (FFT, CFAR, beamforming, tracking).
  • Knowledge of MATLAB or Simulink.
  • Experience with FPGA or GPU acceleration.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, UART, SPI).
  • Experience with software testing, CI/CD, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of defense, aerospace, or automotive radar systems.
