Must-have skills
o IaC (Terraform/CDK), IAM, security groups.
o Containerization (Docker), orchestration (ECS/Fargate or EKS).
o CI/CD (GitHub Actions), environments (dev/stage/prod), artifact mgmt.
o Storage: Postgres with pgvector (preferred) or managed vector alternative.
o Observability: CloudWatch/OpenTelemetry, structured logging, tracing.
o Auth: OIDC with your internal IdP/API gateway. (familiar with Okta and Entra)
Primary responsibilities
o Stand up AWS foundations, secrets, environment promotion.
o Operationalize webhooks from GitHub to indexer.
o Logging/metrics/alerts; cost controls and runbooks.
o Performance baselines and load testing harness.
Qualifications:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in a computer science, technology, engineering or math related field and 3+ years work experience or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as an IT professional.
Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products preferred.
Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required. Proficiency with database applications, knowledge of mainframe, distributed and/or web programming language. Basic leadership skills preferred.
Excellent time management skills preferred.
Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
Must have the desire and ability to learn new technology and continuously grow.
Ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with both IT and non-IT partners.
May be required to provide on-call support.
Responsibilities:
Independently conduct analysis and development, requirements, coding, automated testing, debugging, designing, documentation, quality assurance review, implementation and maintenance. Understand and make well-reasoned design decisions and trade-offs in the area. Demonstrate independence working in more than one system. Participate in technical design of features. Focus on attaining expertise in more technical areas.
