Job Title: EDI Developer (IBM B2Bi application experience needed)

Location: 100% remote

Start Date: IMMEDIATE

Duration: 6 months+ contract, potential to extend

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced EDI Developer with hands-on expertise in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (B2Bi) to support and enhance enterprise EDI integrations. This role will focus on developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting EDI transactions that support core business operations and external trading partner communications.

Job Description:

Design, develop, and support EDI integrations between internal systems (ERP, WMS, TMS) and external trading partners
Build and maintain EDI maps and business processes using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator
Translate business documents between internal formats and EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT)
Monitor EDI transactions and proactively troubleshoot failed transmissions, mapping issues, and data integrity errors
Onboard new trading partners and support the setup of new EDI document types
Support secure data exchange using AS2, SFTP, FTP/S, and VAN communications
Collaborate with business, operations, and external partners to resolve EDI-related issues
Maintain documentation for mappings, processes, partner configurations, and support procedures

Requirements:

Hands-on experience as an EDI Developer supporting production environments
Strong experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (B2Bi), including mapping and business process development
Solid knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12 and/or EDIFACT
Experience working with common EDI transactions (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810, 997)
Familiarity with secure communication protocols including AS2 and SFTP
Experience integrating EDI solutions with ERP or backend systems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SAP or other enterprise ERP platforms
SQL or scripting experience for data analysis and troubleshooting
Prior experience supporting logistics, supply chain, retail, or manufacturing environments
