Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Services Engineer with 8 10 years of hands-on experience designing, automating, and operating cloud environments. This role requires deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Python scripting for automation, and cloud telemetry and observability engineering.
The ideal candidate is an automation-first engineer who builds resilient, observable, and scalable platforms.
Key Responsibilities - Cloud Infrastructure & Automation:
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
- Build reusable Terraform modules and enforce Infrastructure-as-Code standards.
- Implement automated provisioning pipelines integrated with CI/CD workflows.
- Support multi-account and multi-region architectures.
Key Responsibilities - Python Automation & Engineering:
- Develop Python scripts and services to automate operational workflows.
- Build tooling for configuration management, reporting, and governance.
- Integrate with cloud APIs and third-party systems.
- Improve platform reliability through automation and self-healing mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities - Telemetry & Observability Engineering:
- Design and implement cloud telemetry pipelines.
- Configure and optimize metrics, logs, traces, and event collection.
- Integrate monitoring solutions such as cloud-native telemetry services and observability platforms.
- Develop alerting strategies to reduce noise and improve signal quality.
- Build dashboards that support SRE, DevOps, and security teams.
Key Responsibilities - Reliability & Operational Excellence:
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
- Improve system reliability through proactive telemetry and performance tuning.
- Implement policy-as-code and guardrails for governance and compliance.
- Contribute to capacity planning and cost optimization initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- 8 10 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Terraform.
- Strong proficiency in Python scripting.
- Experience designing and operating cloud telemetry/observability systems.
- Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Strong understanding of networking, IAM, and security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with distributed systems monitoring.
- Knowledge of SRE practices.
- Experience with policy frameworks (OPA, Sentinel, etc.).
- Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, etc.).
