Job Title: Sr. Azure AI Engineer

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Azure AI Engineer with a strong developer mindset to design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions using Microsoft's AI ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is a senior, technically strong engineer with deep experience in Azure AI, Copilot Studio, AI Foundry, and LLM-based application development, rather than a data scientist or purely ML-focused professional.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement AI-powered applications using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Copilot Studio (including Copilot Studio Agents).
• Build and customize Copilot solutions integrated with Microsoft Teams and other M365 tools.
• Develop and maintain RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures using Azure AI Search, embeddings, and LLMs.
• Build secure, scalable backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI/Azure Functions) and/or C++ where applicable.
• Implement Microsoft Entra ID (Entitlements & RBAC) for secure access control in AI applications.
• Work closely with enterprise stakeholders to translate business needs into technical AI solutions.
• Optimize performance, latency, and cost of AI solutions in production. Implement logging, monitoring, and governance for AI models and Copilot workflows.
• Apply best practices for prompt engineering, hallucination control, and AI safety.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry (experimentation, prompt flow, model management, deployment).
• Deep experience with Copilot Studio and Copilot Studio Agents (Must).
• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI, LLMs, and RAG-based architectures.
• Strong software development background (Developer mindset, not Data Scientist).
• Proficiency in Python (APIs, backend services, integrations).
• Experience with C++ for performance-critical or system-level components.
• Experience building and securing REST APIs in Azure.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI solutions with Microsoft Teams and M365.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, security, and entitlements.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or App Service.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform).
• Experience in enterprise AI governance, compliance, and auditing

Work Site: Iselin, NJ / New York, NY (Manhattan)
