Job Description: Sr Software Engineer Java with React
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java backend development and working knowledge of React.js. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise applications, leading technical implementation, mentoring developers, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.
The primary focus will be on Java backend development (85%), with limited involvement in React frontend development (15%).
Key Responsibilities
Java Backend Development 85%
- Design and develop scalable enterprise applications using Core Java and J2EE.
- Architect and implement backend services using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Framework.
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Implement Hibernate/JPA for database integration and persistence.
- Design database schemas and optimize complex SQL queries.
- Apply design patterns, coding standards, and best practices to ensure maintainable code.
- Perform code reviews, identify performance bottlenecks, and drive technical improvements.
- Troubleshoot complex application issues and provide effective solutions.
- Ensure application security, scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Develop unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
React Frontend Development 15%
- Develop and maintain React.js components for existing applications.
- Work with functional components, React Hooks, and state management fundamentals.
- Integrate React frontend components with Java-based REST APIs.
- Handle UI enhancements, frontend bug fixes, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless application integration.
Required Technical Skills
Java Strong Expertise
- Advanced Core Java, OOP, Collections, Multithreading, and Exception Handling.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Framework.
- Microservices architecture and REST API development.
- Hibernate/JPA and ORM frameworks.
- Strong SQL and relational database concepts.
- Design patterns and application architecture.
- Maven/Gradle, Git, JUnit, and Mockito.
React Working Knowledge
- React.js fundamentals and component-based development.
- JavaScript (ES6+).
- Functional components and React Hooks.
- HTML5 and CSS3.
- REST API integration.
Additional Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Docker and Kubernetes exposure.
- Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Application performance monitoring and debugging.
Experience and Qualifications
- 7 10 years of overall software development experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java backend development.
- Experience designing and developing enterprise-grade applications.
- Working knowledge of React.js for frontend enhancements and integration.
- Experience in technical design, code reviews, and mentoring junior developers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
