Job Title: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Lead / Architect – E-Commerce

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Lead / Architect with strong expertise in AEM development and e-commerce integrations. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable AEM solutions while integrating content management capabilities with enterprise e-commerce platforms.
The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with AEM components, templates, workflows, and integrations, along with strong knowledge of Java-based backend development and modern front-end technologies. This role requires close collaboration with UX teams, content authors, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
The selected consultant will play a key role in architecting and implementing AEM solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and best practices across enterprise digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
· Architect, design, develop, and maintain AEM components, templates, dialogs, and pages
· Integrate AEM with enterprise e-commerce platforms such as SAP Commerce, Magento, or Salesforce Commerce
· Work extensively with AEM Sites (Author and Publisher environments) including editable templates and content fragments
· Customize and extend AEM using OSGi services, Apache Sling, and Sling Models
· Develop reusable components using HTL (Sightly) and Java
· Integrate AEM with Digital Asset Management (DAM), third-party systems, REST APIs, and Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions
· Collaborate with UX designers, content authors, QA teams, and business stakeholders
· Optimize application performance, security, and scalability
· Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to AEM development standards and best practices
· Support deployments and troubleshooting across Development, QA, and Production environments
· Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide technical estimations
· Address security concerns and platform optimization, including remediation of Adobe Looking Glass reports and cookie consent integrations (ObservePoint, OneTrust)
Required Skills & Qualifications
· 5+ years of experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x / AEM as a Cloud Service)
· Strong development experience with Java and J2EE technologies
· Deep understanding of OSGi, Apache Sling, and JCR architecture
· Strong experience with HTL (Sightly) for AEM component development
· Experience developing custom AEM components, templates, Sling Models, and services
· Hands-on experience building AEM workflows and schedulers
· Good understanding of AEM Dispatcher, caching strategies, and security best practices
· Experience integrating REST APIs and JSON-based services
Front-End Skills
· Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
· Basic experience with React or Angular is a plus
· Development & DevOps Tools
· Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Maven, Git, and Jenkins
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
· Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service
· Exposure to Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, or Adobe Campaign
· Knowledge of Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, and Headless AEM architecture
· Understanding of SEO best practices, accessibility (WCAG), and performance optimization
· Adobe AEM Developer or Architect certification
