Do you have experience in a Foundry / Casting environment and leadership experience? Are you an experienced supervisor with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and productivity? If so, we are seeking a Foundry Supervisor to join our team during the evening shift (5pm - 3am, Monday to Thursday, occasional OT on Fridays and Saturdays). This role is a crucial part of our manufacturing operations, ensuring that our foundry runs smoothly and efficiently, producing high-quality products while maintaining a safe and productive environment for our team.

Responsibilities:

As Foundry Supervisor, you will:

1. Lead and supervise a diverse team of approx. 20, ensuring the smooth operation of the foundry during the evening shift.
2. Develop and implement production schedules, coordinating resources and manpower to meet production targets.
3. Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
4. Monitor and report on production performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
5. Handle work requests, coordinating with other departments and stakeholders as necessary.
6. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all team members.
7. Address any issues or conflicts that may arise, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
8. Drive the continuous improvement of our processes and systems, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a foundry / casting environment, with at least 2 of those years in a supervisory role.
2. Proven leadership skills, with a track record of leading and motivating a team.
3. Experience in scheduling, planning, and coordinating resources to meet production targets.
4. Strong training skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
5. Excellent reporting skills, with the ability to monitor and report on production performance.
6. Experience handling work requests, coordinating with other departments and stakeholders as necessary.
7. A strong commitment to safety, with experience in implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address issues and conflicts effectively.
9. A commitment to continuous improvement, with a proactive approach to improving processes and systems.
10. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
