Summary

Position Summary
The Supply Chain Analyst manages demand and supply processes as per company best practice by working in partnership with customers as well as internally with factories, global supply chain, marketing, sales, and operations teams to improve the accuracy and reliability of the supply forecast. This position is responsible for balancing supply with demand to improve delivery performance while maintaining optimal stock cover end to end. This role will focus on the 0–3-month horizon and is responsible for the coordination of activities across functions to support business needs in the near term.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborates with External Supply Organization/global counterparts to align on the optimal Supply Plan by using appropriate customer level sales and inventory information, promotional data, distribution information and assumptions.
  • Analyzes actual sales to customers and sell-out data to actively identify exceptional or un-forecasted activities.
  • Drives fast, appropriate actions to minimize the impact of deviations from the Demand Plan. Communicate these actions to stakeholders.
  • Coordinates projects, including new product launches and life cycle changes across many levels of the organization including US Marketing, Analytics, Sales, Trade, Finance, I.T., Factories, and Global Supply Chain
  • Utilizes all Demand and Supply Planning system functionality in an effective manner to enable an exception-based management approach and implement tools to deliver tangible benefits (e.g. time savings, increased efficiency).
  • Improves accuracy and drives out systematic forecast bias through detailed analyses of past performance.
  • Consistently tracks errors using reason codes and maintain an efficient learning log.
  • Coordinates actions across functions to ensure stock is available at the right place and right time to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitors essential KPIs, such as stock coverage, COF, bad goods, forecast accuracy and bias, vendor and customer performance, and stock in trade. Develops and executes corrective actions when outside of established boundaries.
  • Participates and provides content for the S&OP process as defined.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a four-year college/university required.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in sales and operations planning, demand planning, supply planning, plant operations, logistics, and/or inventory management required.
  • Experience in ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of how planning process drives operations.
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel techniques, experience with “Vlookups”/ Pivot Tables, etc.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks to assure timely completion in a constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation). Ability to present information to cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrates high personal integrity, teamwork abilities, and customer brand focus.

Preferred

  • Experience within CPG (consumer package goods) industry, retail, and/or beauty environment strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and replenishment models with experience in statistical systems.
  • Project management skills.
  • SAP, Oracle, and/or Demand & Supply Planning Management ERP.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and able to see problems and recommend or take appropriate actions to solve them, ability to work in detail and be result oriented.
