Agentic AI Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Agentic AI Developer in New York, NY. This position is a 6-12+ month ongoing contract.

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Agentic AI Developer to join a high-impact enterprise initiative focused on building next-generation AI agents that enhance fleet operations and business processes. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable AI-powered solutions while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and operations teams.

Duties:
* Design, develop, and deploy intelligent AI agents using modern agentic frameworks, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), tool calling, and workflow orchestration
* Build scalable, production-ready AI applications leveraging Java, Node.js, and AWS cloud services
* Integrate AI solutions with enterprise APIs, microservices, and distributed systems to automate complex operational workflows
* Collaborate with product owners, engineering teams, and Fleet Operations to translate business requirements into technical solutions
* Develop secure, maintainable applications following software engineering best practices, including REST APIs, Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure coding standards
* Design AI workflows with monitoring, observability, and human-in-the-loop capabilities to ensure reliability and governance
* Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and similar coding assistants to improve development efficiency
* Troubleshoot, optimize, and continuously enhance AI applications to support evolving business needs

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong programming experience with Java and Node.js
* Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL
* Hands-on experience building and deploying cloud-native applications in AWS
* Proven experience developing AI agents utilizing LLMs, RAG, agentic frameworks, tool calling, and workflow orchestration
* Experience integrating AI applications with enterprise APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures
* Experience designing scalable, enterprise-grade AI solutions with monitoring and observability
* Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices including REST APIs, Git, CI/CD, testing, and secure development
* Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools including GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar platforms
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and automation skills
* Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across engineering, product, and business stakeholders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
