Description
We are looking for an experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead strategic IT initiatives for a small insurance company based in Madison, Wisconsin. As a key executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving business innovation, technology integration, and digital transformation efforts. This is a long-term contract position ideal for a visionary leader with a strong blend of strategic thinking and technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive IT strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
Lead digital transformation initiatives to optimize operations and enhance competitive advantage.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define technology roadmaps, including business, capability, and implementation plans.
Provide executive leadership in managing cybersecurity measures and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Oversee the development and implementation of strategic roadmaps to support organizational growth.
Act as a key advisor on technology investments, ensuring alignment with financial goals and priorities.
Manage IT infrastructure, including Cisco ASA Firewall systems, to maintain operational efficiency and security.
Foster collaboration across teams to adopt Agile Scrum methodologies for project management and delivery.
Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies that can benefit the organization.
Monitor and optimize IT performance metrics to ensure alignment with business needs.
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within the insurance, financial, or educational sectors.
Proven ability to balance strategic business acumen with technical expertise (70% strategic and 30% technical).
Strong knowledge of IT strategy development and execution.
Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA Firewall and cybersecurity practices.
Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies and project management.
Demonstrated success in creating and managing various types of roadmaps, including business, capability, and transformation roadmaps.
Effective communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Track record of driving digital transformation initiatives in small to mid-sized organizations.
