Genesis10 is currently seeking a ServiceNow Developer for a hybrid position with a Major Law Firm located in Minneapolis, MN, Philadelphia, PA, Chicago, IL, Indianapolis, IN, or Washington, DC, requiring one day per month onsite in one of those locations. This is a 6+ month contract-to-hire opportunity.
Pay range: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing tailored solutions on the ServiceNow platform to enhance technical operations, streamline workflows, and support enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives. This hands-on, highly technical role collaborates closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure the platform meets organizational objectives. This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence on the second Wednesday of each month.
Responsibilities: - Configure, test, and customize the ServiceNow platform, including UI components, forms, tables, and lists, in accordance with best practices
- Design, develop, and implement solutions across modules such as ITSM, CMDB, Knowledge Management, and the Self-Service Portal to meet business requirements
- Build and enhance automation within ServiceNow by creating and maintaining business rules, client scripts, UI actions, and script includes using JavaScript and the Glide API
- Leverage ServiceNow Studio and Flow Designer to automate processes, improve workflow efficiency, and optimize platform functionality
- Design, test, and implement automated workflows using Flow Designer and Workflow Editor to streamline business processes
- Develop and maintain custom applications, catalog items, workflows, and automation scripts to support operational efficiency and user needs
- Work with the ITSM Platform Engineer, process owners, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
- Translate business needs into scalable, well-documented designs and maintain comprehensive documentation for all development activities
- Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and IntegrationHub
- Manage update sets, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and support platform upgrades
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent years of experience
- Three years or more of experience developing, configuring, and supporting applications on the ServiceNow platform
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or equivalent certification required
- Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS, with strong scripting experience using GlideRecord, AJAX, Script Includes, and ServiceNow APIs
- Deep knowledge of core ServiceNow modules (ITSM, CMDB) with hands-on experience in Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, and Self-Service Portal
- Experience with at least two of the following is highly desirable: ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping), ITAM (SAM, HAM), HRSD, or CSM
- High proficiency with ServiceNow development tools, including ServiceNow Studio, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub
- Strong experience developing integrations using REST/SOAP web services, JSON, XML, and MID Server
- Strong understanding of ITIL concepts and best practices, with experience supporting ITSM processes
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Experience with Service Portal development (AngularJS) and domain separation
- Experience supporting HRSD, Facilities, or other non-IT modules within ServiceNow
- Familiarity with AI-powered features such as Virtual Agent and Predictive Intelligence
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages
- Demonstrated ability and experience in transitioning from legacy workflows to modern Flow Designer, with a focus on reducing manual tasks through advanced automation
- Ability to effectively communicate IT-related items to both technical and non-technical audiences
Desired skills: - Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Proven track record of designing scalable, automated workflows to improve operational efficiency
- Experience with platform upgrades, code reviews, and maintaining platform stability and performance
