DevOps Engineer
Position Description
Seeking a DevOps Engineer to support secure, reliable, and scalable software delivery within a highly regulated financial services environment. This role focuses on CI/CD engineering, cloud infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code, and production reliability, with a strong emphasis on standardization, security, compliance, and software engineering practices.
This position is required in one of the following locations: Birmingham, AL, Knoxville, TN, Columbia, SC or Lafayette, LA
Your future duties and responsibilities
The engineer will build and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot and optimize delivery workflows, develop reusable pipeline templates, and help modernize legacy deployment processes through GitOps and cloud native practices. The role will also support automated cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and CloudFormation while partnering with development and operations teams to improve delivery speed, reliability, and consistency.????
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
. 5+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or software engineering environments.
. Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or similar enterprise tools.
. Experience with Terraform/Terraform Enterprise and Infrastructure as Code; CloudFormation is a plus.
. Strong cloud infrastructure experience, preferably in AWS environments.
. Experience developing reusable CI/CD templates, automation, and standardized delivery processes.
. Hands on experience troubleshooting pipeline failures, deployment issues, and production reliability problems.
. Understanding of GitOps, version control, security, and compliance practices in regulated environments.
. Strong software engineering skills, including scripting or programming for automation.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
