Role Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Project Manager with strong experience leading enterprise technology implementations within the higher education sector, preferably for colleges or universities in Ontario or elsewhere in Canada.
The ideal candidate will have managed complex Student Information System (SIS), student-facing ERP,CRM or digital transformation programs involving multiple institutional departments, third-party vendors and enterprise integrations.
The role will provide senior project leadership and client-side oversight for an ongoing Salesforce engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead overall project planning, governance, execution, risk management and stakeholder coordination.
Manage the incumbent Salesforce implementation partner and ensure delivery against agreed scope, timelines, quality and outcomes.
Coordinate business, technology, vendor and institutional stakeholders across areas such as admissions, enrolment, registrar services, student services and IT.
Manage project plans, RAID logs, dependencies, change requests, budgets, executive status reporting and Steering Committee updates.
Oversee requirements, integrations, data migration, testing, UAT, cutover and post-production stabilization.
Ensure privacy, security and accessibility requirements relevant to Ontario public-sector institutions are incorporated into project delivery.
Work closely with institutional privacy/security stakeholders on requirements relating to FIPPA, Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), data protection and AODA/accessibility, where applicable.
Ensure clear governance and accountability across internal teams, Salesforce partners and other technology vendors.
Required Experience:
15+ years of IT Salesforce Project/Program management experience.
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale technology implementations for colleges, universities or other higher-education institutions.
Strong preference for candidates who have led implementations of:
Student Information Systems (SIS)
Higher-education ERP platforms
Student recruitment/admissions platforms
CRM or student-service transformation programs
Experience managing Salesforce-related projects or Salesforce implementation partners.
Strong experience managing system integrations, data migration and enterprise application dependencies.
Experience working with senior executives, business stakeholders, IT teams and external vendors.
Familiarity with Canadian/Ontario public-sector governance, privacy and accessibility expectations.
Strong executive reporting, communication and vendor-management skills.
Desired / Advantageous Experience:
Previous project experience with an Ontario college or university.
Salesforce platform implementation experience in higher education.
MuleSoft integration experience.
Salesforce Agent force / Generative AI experience, particularly in higher-education or student-service use cases.
Experience implementing AI-enabled workflows, virtual agents, knowledge assistants or service automation.
PMP or equivalent project-management certification.
Working Model:
The role will be primarily remote.
The consultant should be available to attend key project workshops or governance meetings in Toronto approximately twice every three months, depending on project requirements.
