Job Description: Senior COBOL Mainframe Developer

Location: USA (Remote) Experience: Senior-level experience Domain: Healthcare / Health Insurance (Mandatory)

Required Skills

Strong experience in COBOL, CICS, DB2, and IBM MQ.
Experience with mainframe application development and maintenance.
Good knowledge of DB2 SQL, debugging, and performance optimization.
Experience with online transactions, batch processing, and system integration.
Mandatory healthcare or health insurance domain experience, preferably in claims processing.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain COBOL mainframe applications.
Work with CICS, DB2, and IBM MQ for transaction processing and integration.
Write SQL queries and troubleshoot data-related issues.
Perform coding, debugging, unit testing, and defect fixing.
Resolve production issues and identify root causes.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and developers.
Participate in code reviews and support application releases.

Good to Have

JCL, VSAM, and batch processing.
Healthcare payer systems and claims processing.
CI/CD, DevOps, Endevor, or Changeman experience.

Note: Healthcare or health insurance domain experience is mandatory.
