Job Title: Service Reliability Engineer
Job Location: Hanover, NJ
Job Type: Contract
Job Overview:
Pay Range: $65hr - $70hr
  • Ensure stability, resilience, and reliability of business-critical applications through proactive engineering practices.
  • Drive operational efficiency, automation, and continuous service improvement aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery and system performance.

Requirements/Must Have:

  • Strong experience in process orchestration and configuration tools such as JBPM, Kafka, and MESH.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using UNIX Shell and PowerShell.
  • Experience with database management systems including Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, TeamCity, Autosys, Jira, and Stash.
  • Experience with visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and application platforms.
  • Experience in Unix and Windows administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive operational efficiency through proactive practices and adherence to ITIL standards.
  • Align with organizational objectives and contribute to observability, resilience, and operational engineering initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering and business teams to develop sustainable solutions.
  • Maintain end-to-end application delivery with a focus on stability and resiliency.
  • Support risk, audit, and technology resilience initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and control frameworks.
  • Identify and resolve service improvement opportunities with stakeholders.
  • Lead automation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor KPIs and KRIs through incident, problem, and change management.
  • Plan and execute service resilience and capacity planning activities.
  • Manage SME transitions and ensure service acceptance criteria are met.
  • Monitor and measure operational services across functions.
  • Drive continuous service improvement to enhance support models.
  • Conduct service review meetings with stakeholders.

Should Have:

  • Experience with monitoring tools such as eSaaS, AppDynamics, and ITRS.
  • Knowledge of security and secrets management.
  • Experience with data analytics and scripting using Python.
  • Familiarity with UI development frameworks such as React and MUI.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and resiliency engineering.
