Role Summary
The ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist will design, configure, and deploy ServiceNow solutions supporting enterprise service management and digital workflow automation for the City of Virginia Beach. The role supports platform configuration, integrations, and optimization of ServiceNow modules across City departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and configure ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or CSM.
- Translate business requirements into ServiceNow workflows, forms, and automation.
- Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise systems including Microsoft 365, Azure, and third-party applications.
- Configure ServiceNow service catalogs, incident management, change management, and knowledge management workflows.
- Participate in release management, testing, and deployment activities.
- Maintain platform documentation and configuration standards.
- Provide technical guidance and platform optimization recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification
- 4+ years experience (Mid) / 7+ years experience (Senior)
- Experience implementing ServiceNow in enterprise environments
- Experience with ServiceNow scripting, integrations, and workflow automation
Preferred Skills
- ServiceNow CSA certification
- Integration with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Experience supporting government or municipal environments
