Senior SDET Backend Tester - Remote / Telecommute

• Senior SDET responsible for backend testing, automation, and software development support in enterprise-scale environments.
• Works closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and enhance high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform technical design, coding, and testing of applications while ensuring compliance with development and DevOps standards.
• Develop and analyze interface design documentation and maintain existing software systems.
• Conduct software analysis including requirements gathering, use case development, and system design.
• Design, develop, and execute automated unit and integration test cases.
• Compile, analyze, and report results from software testing and validation activities.
• Build and support enterprise-level software solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, and availability.
• Maintain and enhance existing systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
• Provide technical support for high-visibility and critical production issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reliable, scalable systems.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, product roadmap planning, and technology evaluation.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Skills And Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, C, Python, or similar.
• Experience with backend and frontend development and integration frameworks.
• Strong expertise in automated testing, including TDD and BDD practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, continuous testing, and deployment processes.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with databases including SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of code quality, version control, and deployment practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and testing.
• Additional 4 years of experience may substitute for degree requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with large-scale enterprise applications supporting thousands of users.
• Strong experience integrating complex systems.
• Advanced communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives.
