Overview:
We are hiring two Fiber Technicians to support a statewide initiative focused on expanding affordable WiFi access across low-income housing communities. This project involves fiber optic installation within multi-dwelling units (MDUs). Openings include one Lead Fiber Splicer and one Entry-Level Helper.
This is a great opportunity to get involved in high-impact infrastructure work with steady project demand.

Responsibilities:
  • Pull, route, and secure fiber optic cabling within MDUs
  • Perform fiber splicing, terminations, and basic testing (Lead role)
  • Assist with installation, cable management, and job site prep (Helper role)
  • Interpret basic prints and follow structured cabling standards
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
  • Follow all safety guidelines and low voltage best practices

Required Skills:
  • Fiber optic cabling and installation experience
  • Basic knowledge of structured cabling / low voltage systems
  • Experience with wiring, routing, and cable management
  • Familiarity with telecommunications environments
  • Ability to work in residential/commercial building settings

Qualifications:
  • Lead Technician:
    • Experience with fiber splicing and terminations
    • Ability to work independently and guide junior techs
  • Entry-Level Technician (Helper):
    • 0-2 years of cabling or construction experience
    • Willingness to learn fiber installation and splicing
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders

Preferred (Not Required):
  • Previous MDU or multi-site project experience
  • Low voltage or telecom background

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
