Summary

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking a highly experience Engineer Software 5 to support the Joint Training Synthetic Environment (JTSE), JLVC Modernization efforts for Joint Staff J7(JS J-7) contract at our Suffolk, VA Joint Staff Complex. This is a high impact role for someone who thrives in complex, multi domain environments and enjoys leading large scale modernization efforts that directly support joint warfighter readiness.

What You Will Do
Lead the design, engineering, and integration of innovative solutions to address Joint Operational Training Gaps.
Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of major software development efforts, ensuring alignment with mission goals and stakeholder expectations.
Guide technical integration across multiple M&S domains, including emerging areas such as Space M&S.
Serve as a primary technical liaison with government leadership, military partners, and adjacent organizations.
Evaluate industry tools, technologies, and processes for potential integration into JLVC modernization efforts.
Architect scalable, flexible, and efficient LVC training solutions that support joint operational readiness.

What You Must Have
15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
Ten plus years of hands on experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) solutions and Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) systems and architectures.
Ten plus years integrating LVC solutions, including work with simulation interoperability standards and data translation.
Five plus years supporting live training range systems, networks, and associated architectures.
Demonstrated experience working within Joint LVC training environments, systems, and architectures.

Preferred Requirements
Experience supporting large scale government or military M&S training systems.
Proven success leading cross functional teams in developing or modernizing JOTG solutions.
Strong understanding of networking and multi domain integration techniques.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate across senior government and military stakeholders.
Ability to operate effectively in complex, high stakes environments with tight timelines.
Demonstrated critical thinking and innovation in solving operational training challenges.
