Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in Apache Kafka to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting high-performance, scalable backend applications in a distributed environment using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Apache Kafka.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
Build and maintain event-driven microservices using Apache Kafka
Develop Kafka producers and consumers; manage topics, partitions, and offsets
Implement real-time data streaming and messaging solutions
Integrate Kafka with downstream and upstream systems
Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance of applications
Write clean, testable, and efficient code following best practices
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support production deployments
Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and cross-functional teams
Troubleshoot and resolve performance and production issues

Requirements

Strong experience in Java (8/11/17) and Spring Boot
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (Producers, Consumers, Kafka Streams)
Solid understanding of Microservices architecture
Experience with RESTful APIs
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.)
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

Experience with Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, Avro
Exposure to AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform
Experience with Reactive programming
Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
