Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in Apache Kafka to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting high-performance, scalable backend applications in a distributed environment using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Apache Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain event-driven microservices using Apache Kafka
• Develop Kafka producers and consumers; manage topics, partitions, and offsets
• Implement real-time data streaming and messaging solutions
• Integrate Kafka with downstream and upstream systems
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance of applications
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code following best practices
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support production deployments
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and cross-functional teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and production issues

Requirements

• Strong experience in Java (8/11/17) and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (Producers, Consumers, Kafka Streams)
• Solid understanding of Microservices architecture
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, Avro
• Exposure to AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Reactive programming
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
