Job Role: Salesforce Life Sciences Solution Architect (Patient Central CRM (DCT)
Location : Durham North Carolina
Duration: 12+ months
Role Overview : The Salesforce Life Sciences Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and governing the end-to-end architectural blueprint for client Patient Central CRM solution that will built on Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, supporting Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCT). The architect ensures scalability, security, compliance, integration integrity, and future-ready design patterns across Study Setup, Study Conduct and Patient Engagement workflows.
1. Architecture & Solution Design
- Design scalable, secure, compliant architecture on Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud for Patient Central CRM supporting DCT workflows.
- Define end-to-end architecture for Study Setup, Study Conduct, and Patient Engagement workflows ensuring alignment with Client enterprise architecture team, IT Security, and integration SMEs.
- Patient engagement workflows, appointment scheduling, consent management, notifications, kit order workflows, and communication templates.
- Ensure architecture is HIPAA/GDPR compliant and aligns with client security policies.
2. Integration & Data Architecture
- Define high-level integration patterns for systems including Zavacor (CTMS), Kit Production System (KPS), Cisco CTI, and others.
- Lead data mapping and modeling for study data ingestion, participant information, visit schedules, and file-based ingestion flows.
- Guide integration strategies for kit ordering, tracking, shipping, and patient communication triggers.
3. Platform Governance & Delivery Oversight
- Provide architectural governance ensuring adherence to coding standards, platform limits, and best practices for the DCT program.
- Collaborate with Technical Architects, Tech Leads, and the development team to validate feasibility and platform constraints.
- Validate architecture for AI-readiness and future enhancements.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Client stakeholders including Solution Architects, BAs, PMs, IT Security, and Study Teams to align architectural decisions with business goals.
- Partner with program leadership, Salesforce Practice, and Customer Success teams ensuring smooth delivery.
- Participate in requirement workshops, identify gaps, and validate functional feasibility.
Required Skills & Experience
- Salesforce Expertise
- Deep experience with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, CTI integrations, and complex workflow automation Architecture Competencies
- Experience designing enterprise-scale, secure CRM architectures for regulated life sciences environments.
- Strong capability in ERD modeling, integration design patterns, API-based architectures, and large-scale data ingestion workflows.
Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of clinical trials specifically decentralized clinical trials, patient engagement workflows, kit management, consent processes, and study operations.
Compliance & Security
- Hands-on understanding of HIPAA, GDPR, audit trails, data privacy, and role-based access modeling in Salesforce.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams across Labcorp.
- Ability to mentor teams, enforce standards, and steer architecture discussions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce certifications such as:
- Certified Application Architect / System Architect
- Salesforce Data Cloud & Integration Architecture credentials
- Health Cloud or Life Sciences Cloud certifications (Based on skills seen in internal architect profiles)
