Cloud/Platform/Systems Specialist

American Computer Services, Inc. is looking for a talented Cloud/Platform/Systems Specialist to drive infrastructure projects aimed at modernizing IT operations and boosting efficiency, scalability, and reliability in hybrid cloud setups.
In this role, you will advance enterprise modernization by implementing contemporary hybrid-cloud administration and engineering techniques to replace costly, outdated systems with automated, scalable infrastructure solutions.
YOU MUST have:
- Hybrid Systems Architecture: Proficiency in creating and managing hybrid platforms that integrate local data centers with AWS cloud environments to support a cloud-first strategy.
- AWS Environment Management: Direct experience architecting and managing AWS core services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, and S3, for large-scale enterprise use.
- Cloud Migration Background: A history of transitioning legacy applications to AWS, featuring the development of strategic roadmaps and readiness evaluations.
- Architectural Documentation: Expertise in mapping out complex system architectures and generating detailed AWS diagrams that illustrate network layouts and service dependencies.
- System Reliability & Performance: Experience maintaining high availability by overseeing cloud and on-site compute, storage, and networking components.

Hybrid Cloud Engineering:
- Capability to develop workload patterns that ensure identity and application services operate fluently across both cloud and local environments.
- The ability to pinpoint cost-saving measures through resource rightsizing and automated lifecycle management.
- Precision in managing IaC manifests and standard operating procedures within version-control systems.
Advanced Technical Support:
- Background in providing high-level escalation support for complex issues originating from networking or application teams.
- Skill in resolving intricate AWS identity and connectivity problems that impact business-critical applications.
- Aptitude for leading teams through the resolution of hybrid failures, such as routing conflicts or directory synchronization errors.
DevOps & Team Synergy:
- A collaborative mindset for working with automation experts to ensure all deployments are repeatable and verifiable.
- Experience establishing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards and participating in the design of Terraform modules.
- Familiarity with maintaining CI/CD pipelines that transition workloads through testing and production via automated validation.
