Position: Field Data Collection Support Representative
Location: Oxnard, CA and Watsonville, CA
Duration: 8 Months Contract
Job Responsibilities
- Field Data Collection (FDC) Systems Support – Functionality & Usability of Production Applications (40%)
- Provide first-level technical and operational support to end users (in person, phone, or electronic).
- Support the use of applications such as fruit receipts, harvest, overhead, and product quality (PQ).
- Troubleshoot basic system, application, and device issues.
- Ensure proper use and functionality of both customized and off-the-shelf systems.
- Compliance and Training (50%)
- Ensure applications and equipment are used in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Deliver training to end users in field and office environments (one-on-one and group sessions).
- Reinforce correct system usage and data entry standards.
- Promote user adoption and compliance with established processes.
- Maintain Hardware & Software (5%)
- Ensure applications and equipment are used in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Years of Experience: 1 year of experience in customer service, technical support, or application support.
Specializations, Certifications and Specific Experience:
- Experience in supporting mobile devices or hand-held equipment preferred.
- Driving is a necessary part of the job and employees are required to possess a valid Driver’s License.
Languages Spoken, Read, Written:
- English: 85%+
- Spanish: 95%+
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 90% of the time to local district between ranches and offices as needed. Occasional domestic travel (up to 10%) based on business support needs.
Working Conditions:
- Environmental Conditions: Works in a combination of an office under controlled environment and in outdoor environment with temperature fluctuations. Exposure to bees, wasps, snakes, chemicals, pesticides, etc. when working outdoors.
- Work Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with additional hours as required.
- Tools, Equipment Used: Computer, keyboard, mouse, fax/copier/scanner, 10 key, telephone, cellular phone, vehicles.
Essential Physical, Mental, & Environmental Demands:
- Thinking: Critical thinking and active listening 8 hours a day.
- Visual Reading: computer screen, projection screens, and printed material up to 8 hours a day.
- Talking: Communicate in person and via phone or computer VOIP daily.

- Noise Exposure: Exposed to office noises (talking, phones ringing, printer machine) up to 8 hours a day.
- Standing: Ability to stand for extended periods of time per day. May be up to 8 hours per day if standing at desk (optional).
- Walking: Must be able to safely navigate across public streets and to travel between offices, conference rooms, printer rooms and between buildings between 1-2 hours daily.
