Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor Mainframe Systems Programmers and DB2 Administrators across distributed teams.
  • Provide L3 support for z/OS, CICS, DB2, JES, RACF, USS, and storage-related issues.
  • Manage installations, upgrades, migrations, IPLs, SMP/E maintenance, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Drive incident management, root cause analysis, performance tuning, capacity planning, and SLA compliance.
  • Oversee DB2 administration, utilities, backup/recovery, SQL tuning, and database availability.
  • Implement automation using REXX, JCL, Ansible, and z/OSMF.
  • Manage monitoring and automation tools, operational governance, and customer escalations.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of Mainframe infrastructure experience with technical leadership.
  • Strong expertise in z/OS, DB2 for z/OS, CICS, JES2/JES3, RACF, Parallel Sysplex, and SMP/E.
  • Experience with REXX, JCL, Control-M, RMF/SMF, and mainframe monitoring tools.
  • Strong incident management, customer communication, mentoring, and team leadership skills.
