About the Role
Our client, a global leader in the food production, agriculture, and supply chain industry, is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives. This role plays a critical part in driving operational excellence by ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and hands-on project execution experience across both Agile and traditional methodologies.
Job DescriptionThe IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as a key liaison between project management teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and leadership. This individual will provide strategic direction by reviewing project proposals, determining timelines, assessing funding limitations, and establishing execution procedures.
Responsibilities: - Organize project teams, assign responsibilities, and develop comprehensive project schedules
- Manage project scope, timelines, costs, and resource allocation
- Monitor and report on project status, including progress, risks, budget, and staffing updates
- Ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards and best practices
- Identify potential risks and proactively resolve obstacles to keep projects on track and within budget
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to align objectives and expectations
- Independently manage complex project challenges with minimal supervision, escalating only the most critical issues
- Support continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
QualificationsRequired Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of IT project management experience
- Proven experience working with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
- Hands-on experience using Jira for project tracking and management
- Strong project planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience using Microsoft Project or similar project planning tools
- Background in large, matrixed organizations or supply chain/operations environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion
