Job Summary:
We are looking for a Data Governance Project Manager with strong experience in master data management, business analysis, and data governance frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, and working with large-scale data environments, along with strong project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead data governance initiatives and master data management projects
- Perform data profiling, source system analysis, and KPI definition
- Work with large datasets using SQL and Python for analysis and validation
- Define and maintain data quality standards, data lineage, and data dictionaries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive governance policies and processes
- Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables in complex environments
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions and drive consensus across teams
- Deliver insights and recommendations through data analysis
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in project management and data governance
- Hands-on experience with master data management (MDM)
- Strong SQL and Python skills for data analysis
- Experience with data profiling and source system analysis
- Strong business analysis and impact assessment skills
- Knowledge of data architecture, data lineage, and data quality frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with analytics platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Snowflake)
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Business Objects)
- Exposure to data governance tools (Collibra, Data Hub, or similar)
- PMP, CSM, or PMI-ACP certifications
- Experience with enterprise data architecture (D&B preferred)
Additional Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience
- Experience working in large, complex, matrixed environments
- Strong problem-solving and execution skills
- Comfortable working onsite in Cupertino, CA
