IT Sourcing Consultant

Role Overview

The client is seeking an IT Sourcing Consultant to lead and execute strategic sourcing initiatives for complex IT procurement projects in a hybrid work environment. The role involves managing the full sourcing lifecycle including solicitation development, proposal evaluation, contract negotiation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication. The job is open to candidates within the 100 miles radius of Richmond, VA.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end IT sourcing and procurement initiatives from request through contract execution
Develop solicitation documents including RFPs, RFQs, and procurement-related documentation
Evaluate supplier proposals and execute negotiation strategies with selected vendors
Manage complex IT contracts and supplier relationships
Conduct requirements gathering and collaborate with business stakeholders to solve IT business problems
Execute contract risk mitigation strategies and ensure favorable contract terms
Manage customer expectations through effective verbal and written communication
Conduct post-project lessons learned sessions and support knowledge transfer activities
Handle multiple sourcing projects simultaneously while maintaining high customer service standards
