Job Title: Python Software Engineer (OpenShift/Kubernetes)

Location: Cleveland, OH / Dallas, TX / Pittsburgh, PA
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite - Mandatory)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Python Software Engineer with strong experience building and deploying cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have 5–8+ years of Python development experience along with hands-on expertise in OpenShift (OCP) or Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise software development. This is a software engineering role focused on developing, deploying, and supporting production applications rather than a traditional DevOps position.

Required Skills

5–8+ years of professional experience in Python software development.
Strong hands-on experience with Python and enterprise application development.
Experience deploying and managing applications on OpenShift (OCP) and/or Kubernetes.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).
Experience troubleshooting deployment issues, container images, and release failures.
Strong understanding of Docker/containerization.
Experience working in enterprise software development environments.
Familiarity with Git and Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of REST APIs, FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications.
Deploy and support applications on OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
Troubleshoot deployment, container, and production release issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
Ensure application reliability, performance, and security in production environments.
Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment and development processes.
