Summary

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Automation Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with a Major Financial Services Firm located in Plano, TX, Camas, WA, or Tampa, FL.

Pay range (WA): $85,000 - $135,000 per year

Pay range (TX/FL): $70,000 - $110,000 per year

The Quality Automation Engineer will partner with QA/QE, DevOps, and Functional teams to define, design, and enhance the automation framework. This role involves creating a robust set of automation tests that form the foundation of continuous delivery testing and maintaining these frameworks by coordinating test execution, training users, and providing support.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver automation and automation framework for products with a quality approach
  • Design, develop, and configure QE tools to lead application development efficiencies and improve operational stability
  • Foster the adoption of Test automation, Performance and Test data management tools and capabilities across Technology groups
  • Work with Quality Engineering and App Dev Team Leads to define Quality Engineering processes, standards, and best practices
  • Collaborate and implement strategies for DevOps and Integration teams to integrate Test automation suites as part of the CI/CD frameworks
  • Meticulously examine and evaluate software applications to identify potential issues, defects or inconsistencies
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and scrum masters throughout the development lifecycle
  • Create, manage, analyze, and use test plans and test cases
  • Identify, document, and report software defects, and track bugs
  • Schedule and coordinate test execution
  • Develop scripts and processes to increase automation of testing

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science, or a related field required; advanced degree in a related field is a plus
  • 3 years of experience with Salesforce
  • 3 years of experience in software testing and test automation of web and API-based solutions
  • 3 years of experience with automation and test data management tools such as ACCELQ, Ready API, NeoLoad, GenRocket, and Zephyr Scale
  • 3 years of experience testing applications developed in various SDLC methodologies like Agile
  • 3 years of experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks
  • 3 years of experience with DevOps tools, such as Github, Jenkins, or Splunk
  • 3 years of experience with scripting languages like Shell Scripting, Groovy, Python, Java, or JavaScript, and Atlassian tools like JIRA or Confluence
  • 2 years of experience implementing BDD/TDD and relevant toolsets
  • 2 years of experience with relational database management skills like MSSQL, MySQL, SQL, Postgres or MongoDB
  • 2 years of experience integrating test automation frameworks with DevOps pipelines in private and public cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, Google or Amazon AWS
  • Experience in a regulated industry; financial services experience is a plus
  • Ability to train IT product delivery teams and motivate peers on the proper use of Automation frameworks
  • Ability to present to managers, technology, and business partners
