As an Engineering Intern, you will contribute to meaningful work tied to real business needs while learning from experienced professionals. You will build practical skills, expand your network, and gain exposure to career opportunities at Daikin Applied.

What you will do

  • Own or support a meaningful engineering project aligned with an approved team need.

  • Research and analyze technical data, customer requirements, specifications, and design documentation.

  • Support the design, testing, validation, and improvement of commercial HVAC products, components, or systems.

  • Develop test plans, collect and analyze data, and communicate findings and recommendations.

  • Use engineering tools and sound problem-solving methods to support product development, research, testing, or manufacturing initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and document project progress through reports and presentations.

What we are looking for

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's or master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related discipline, with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029. Graduate-level students are encouraged to apply.

  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, or a similar tool preferred.

  • Foundational engineering coursework such as Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Statics, Dynamics, Manufacturing Processes, or related courses preferred.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Additional information

  • This is a general evergreen posting. Applications may be considered for Summer 2027 opportunities as specific positions are approved.

  • Team assignment, location, work arrangement, responsibilities, and required skills will depend on the approved position and business need.
