Summary

Requirements

1 or more years of experience working in a dedicated security operations center (SOC).
Proficiency in security alert monitoring and real-time incident triage.
Experience with SIEM platform monitoring and interpreting technical event logs.
Experience in identifying, analyzing, and distinguishing security incidents from false positives.
Experience with structured incident escalation procedures and standard playbook execution.
Experience in shift-based operations supporting 24/7 mission-essential information systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Monitor security event queues and mission-essential information systems on a 24/7 schedule.
Classify, prioritize, and escalate active alerts to ensure rapid incident resolution.
Log and respond to incoming events captured from email, chat, and voice systems.
Analyze security data feeds to accurately isolate valid threats from false-positive indicators.
Assist with containment and resolution efforts during active network and security incidents.
Collaborate with senior engineers to build, refine, and update security incident playbooks.
Coordinate with stakeholders to communicate incident severity and provide recommended response actions.
