APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Build and support new, critical infrastructural systems and frameworks which provide and support services like structured and unstructured storage, caching, queueing, and searching. Responsible for the next generation platform that will power Apple's infrastructural services, which have a huge scale and store hundreds of petabytes of data. Responsible for the platform that supports a variety of services based on open-source software, such as Apache Cassandra, SOLR, Zookeeper, Kafka, Redis, etc. Influence and direct the backend of many critical Apple internet services. Build software to improve efficiency and simplicity of features for Apple users. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 - $272,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. \n\nPAY & BENEFITS: Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field. \n\nExperience and/or education must include:\n\nLeveraging Java, C, C++ or Python knowledge to design and develop robust software system.\nLeveraging the theoretical foundations of distributed systems such as load balancing and consistency models to design and optimize large-scale highly available distributed systems.\nLeveraging No-SQL Databases (e.g. C* and FDB) knowledge for optimal data storage, retrieval and scalability.\nUtilizing SQL Database knowledge (e.g. MySQL and PostgreSQL) to design and manage schema and ensure data integrity.\nUtilizing Jenkins capabilities for continuous integration pipelines for software build automation and testing.\nLeveraging Git and GitHub for effective source control management including branching strategies, code reviews, and collaboration to maintain code quality and track changes.\nDesigning and implementing RESTful APIs to ensure scalability, reliability, security and flexibility in large-scale distributed systems.
