Job#: 3023464 Job Description: Join a product delivery team responsible for a high-scale data ecosystem used for analytics and decisioning. This role focuses on
automated validation of APIs, data transformations, and downstream reporting. You'll be hands-on in building automation that proves data correctness end-to-end-across ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.
What You'll Own
You will define and implement an automation approach that is data-aware-meaning your tests don't just click through UI flows; they verify
data rules, lineage, and outcomes. You'll partner with engineers and data-focused stakeholders to continuously raise quality, reduce release risk, and improve observability of defects.
Key Contributions
- Build and evolve automation that validates services, pipelines, and data outputs across environments
- Create test strategies that cover functional risk, integration points, regression, and non-functional requirements
- Write automation utilities for repeatable dataset setup, assertions, and environment-ready test execution
- Execute API testing and performance baselining; identify bottlenecks and reliability risks early
- Investigate defects using logs, queries, and telemetry; communicate root cause and reproduction clearly
- Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and release readiness; mentor peers in automation patterns
What You Bring
- 5+ years in QA automation / SDET / Quality Engineering roles
- Strong scripting ability (Python and/or Java) and experience building automation frameworks
- Experience testing analytics, data processing, or data-driven platforms at scale
- Advanced SQL skills and comfort validating complex datasets in relational/warehouse environments
- Experience testing service-based architectures (REST APIs, event-driven workflows, batch/stream patterns)
- Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and test reporting practices
- Bonus: exposure to IaC concepts, cloud security testing, or data governance validation
