Help Desk Technician

Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable Help Desk Technician to join our team on a contract basis in Jacksonville, Florida. This role involves providing exceptional technical support to end users, ensuring smooth resolution of IT-related issues, and maintaining the performance of IT systems and tools. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Responsibilities:

Deliver prompt and efficient Tier 1 technical support to address user incidents and service requests.

Escalate critical issues to appropriate IT teams to ensure timely resolution.

Oversee the deployment and maintenance of Apple and PC endpoints, ensuring optimal functionality.

Collaborate with team members and business units to align IT services with organizational goals.

Maintain accurate documentation of service desk activities and resolutions.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

Utilize IT Service Management best practices to optimize end user support.

Communicate effectively with users, providing clear updates and guidance during issue resolution.

Stay informed about emerging technologies and participate in relevant technical communities.

Promote teamwork, innovation, and diversity within the IT department.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting end user computing and networking services.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Windows 10.
Proven ability to deploy and manage IT systems and applications.
Familiarity with IT Service Management principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
