Azure Data Engineer

Vaco’s client is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to support the design and development of modern cloud-based data platforms. This role will focus on building scalable data pipelines and supporting analytics and AI initiatives within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop data pipelines and ingestion frameworks
- Build and maintain data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouse architectures
- Develop ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Synapse
- Optimize data processing and transformation workflows
- Collaborate with analytics teams to support reporting, BI, and AI use cases
- Implement data governance, monitoring, and performance optimization
- Work closely with architects and platform teams on cloud data architecture
Qualifications
- Experience building data pipelines in Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, or Fabric
- Strong SQL and data modeling experience
- Experience with Python or Spark-based data processing
- Understanding of data lake and data warehouse architecture
- Familiarity with Power BI or analytics platforms is a plus
