Workday Integration Consultant Work location: Chicago, IL or Tempe, AZ Work model: Hybrid, onsite 3 days/week (as needed) Work hours: Flex (can start, 6, 7, 8. 9) Interview Process: 2 rounds (1 technical and 1 soft skills) Could be panel interview in technical round. 1 onsite interview- in Tempe or Chicago REQUIRED Candidate MUST know how code connectors work Data flow from high level- no configuration work in this role, but must understand how the data is IN Workday currently Primarily focused on new integration development, sometimes debugging existing integrations Delivering on 60 projects in HRIT space this year Will keep them on thru end of year to help with extra work load All integration work! 3rd party vendors outside of workday- ADP, Fidelity, etc. for example Sending data back and forth from Workday HR workspace managed thru Workday Employee stock purchase plan is one project they''ll work on, back end IT integration Need to truly understand integration and backend, workday studio expertise Hands on ITSM ServiceNow: preferred skillset - not mandatory Change control processes, sometimes tickets assigned thru ServiceNow, stories and HR cases in ServiceNow. They will learn the skill if they don’t have it. End user of ServiceNow, NOT developing in it. No client communication, standup 2 times a week- internal communication with HR business partners often Often communicating with 3rd party SaaS providers they are integrating with- technical requirements calls Project Overview: These contractor resources will support a broad range of Workday integration initiatives across HR Technology, Finance, Procurement, and various business partners. Their efforts will span designing, enhancing, and maintaining integrations with multiple third party vendors, enabling new capabilities, optimizing existing data flows, and ensuring end to end data quality across upstream and downstream systems. They will contribute to solution design, field mapping, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of Workday integration enhancements that improve operational efficiency, support evolving business requirements, and strengthen the overall Workday ecosystem. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or engineering 5+ years of work experience in in Workday, Integrations and API integration
Qualifications (must haves):Hands on work experience with Workday Experience with Workday Projects (preferably implementation experience) Able to write XSLT scripting both XSLT2.0/XSLT 3.0 Hands on experience on Workday Studio Hands on experience in API integration either SOAP or Rest Hands on experience on PECI/WECI/PICOF and Core Connectors Understanding of Payroll data and Experience on US payroll and Global Payroll Ability to resolve issues/troubleshoot application in a high-pressure & time critical environment Experience using ITSM Service now tool Self-motivated to initiate actions and be responsible for consequent decisions. Good programming and debugging skills. Strong analytical, design thinking and problem solving skills. Strong written/verbal communications skills. Good team player and interpersonal skills.
Nice to Have: Hands on experience on ADO ( Azure Devops) . Exposure to Agile practices ( Scrum /Kanban) . Understanding of ITIL Process guidelines, with specific focus on Service Operations and Incident Management. Functional Knowledge of HR in finance business. ServiceNow Development
